Triumph GT6 Propshaft
Get the GT6 propshaft right, and it'll run quietly for years. Get it wrong; worn universal joints being the most common culprit, and you'll hear it every time you pick up or drop off the throttle. Rimmer Bros has supplied Triumph GT6 propshaft parts from Lincoln, UK, since 1982, covering universal joints, flanges and propshaft assemblies for all three marks.
One thing to watch: overdrive and non-overdrive GT6s use propshafts of different lengths. Overdrive-equipped cars run a shorter propshaft to suit the extended gearbox assembly, and the differential ratio differs too (3.27:1 with overdrive, 3.89:1 without). If you're fitting an overdrive to a standard car, a correct-length propshaft is essential. For the rest of the drivetrain, see GT6 Drive Shaft, GT6 Rear Axle & Differential and GT6 Overdrive.
