Triumph GT6 Rear Axle Differential Customer Comments"Yesterday afternoon I ordered 2 bumper mounts for a P38 Range Rover. This morning at 10 o'clock they were delivered to my home. I feel I must congratulate you and your company for service beyond the call of duty. This means my car will be off the road for less than 24 hours. To say I am impressed is an understatement and you have got a customer who will not only use your services again but will recommend you to all my Land Rover friends as well. Thank you once again for outstanding service." Customer Comment

Triumph GT6 Rear Axle & Differential

The Triumph GT6 rear axle and differential are one of the most mark-specific parts of the car. Get the ratio wrong, and you're ordering for a specification that doesn't apply to your engine. Non-overdrive GT6s use a 3.27:1 ratio differential; cars fitted with overdrive take a 3.89:1. That split runs across all three marks, so it's the first thing to confirm before you order.

The suspension layout changed, which affects what else you'll need alongside the diff. Mk1 used a swing-axle setup; Mk2 and early Mk3 (to chassis KE/KF20000) ran a Rotoflex independent system; late Mk3 (from KE/KF20001, mid-1973) reverted to a revised swing-spring layout. If you're sourcing drive shaft components or suspension parts at the same time, that chassis split matters there too.

Rimmer Bros has stocked GT6 drivetrain parts from its Lincoln, UK base since 1982. We carry reconditioned exchange differentials, Stanpart crown wheel and pinion sets manufactured under licence from British Motor Heritage, oil seals, gaskets and overhaul bearings, alongside related gearbox, overdrive and propshaft parts, despatching to 195 destinations worldwide.

Find the right GT6 differential and axle parts above, confirm your ratio and chassis number first.
