The Jaguar S-Type, launched in 1999, blended classic design elements with contemporary features. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Mark 2, the S-Type was initially recognisable with its distinctive retro styling. The S-Type was initially available with a 3.0-litre V6 or a 4.0-litre V8. In 2002, a 2.5-litre V6 was added and the 4.0-litre V8 was replaced by a 4.2-litre V8, and provided a comfortable and powerful driving experience.
