At Rimmer Bros, we opt to use the best carriers in the business to ensure your order is delivered safely, securely, and on time.

Orders placed on our web site are despatched as soon as practically possible, using the method selected in the order cart. If your parts are required urgently and you want an express delivery service, please select the relevant option, and we will do the rest.

For small packages, we use Royal Mail's First Class post service for UK orders and Deutsche Post service for overseas. Most larger parcels are sent via UPS, Fedex, GLS and DHL for all destinations. Very Large domestic orders are sent via DX Freight or Road/Air/Sea Freight for overseas

These options provide our customers with a choice of the best services available, at a price to suit your needs. Please see below for further details.

Prices for shipping (including packaging and handling), are shown in the order cart. Some guide prices are shown below. Shipping charges for the export of oversize parcels outside of the UK, may not be accurately displayed by our systems. Please see below for further details or request a quotation.

If you have any special delivery requirements, please indicate in the 'Order Comments' box on the 'Order Recap' page.

Additionally, if your order includes any back-ordered parts and you want it held until it is complete, you can enter 'HTC' (Hold Till Complete) in this box.

Once your order is shipped and providing we have your email address, we will email confirmation to you, including tracking information if applicable.

Please note that as a security measure, your first order with us must be delivered to the credit card holders registered address.

Shipping Carriers


United Kingdom

Please note: Due to Royal Mail Strikes there is a risk of delays to First Class Post, Royal Mail Special Delivery and Parcelforce shipments. We are doing all we can to mitigate and suggest that you select a courier option for delivery if time sensitive. 

We utilise Royal Mail's First Class post service, DPD or UPS, depending upon size, weight and urgency. Larger domestic orders are sent via DX Freight or Pallet couriers.

We aim to despatch all standard UK orders within 1 - 3 working days of receipt, subject to stock availability and payment being received. Orders containing items which are advertised as “available to order”, or are temporarily out of stock will take longer, depending on stock availability from our suppliers.

The majority of UK orders are delivered within 2-3 working days from despatch – see the guide below. Certain offshore, remote Scottish Highland and Northern Ireland destinations may take longer. Bulky and very heavy items may also take longer. If you require your parts urgently, a UK mainland next working day express option is available for orders placed by 3pm except for oversize parcels where the order must be placed by 10am. You can also choose to have your order sent to an alternative work address or direct to your garage. A nominated delivery day option is also available. All orders sent by carrier or Royal Mail Special Delivery / DPD pre- Noon will require a signature on delivery. We will send you an order despatch confirmation email and tracking number providing we have your email address. Order tracking is not available for Royal Mail First Class post deliveries, so please wait a full 3-5 working days for your order to arrive. Royal Mail will only accept claims for loss after 10 working days from due date on first class post and 5 working days on Special Delivery.

Shipping charges (including packaging & handling) are calculated on the weight of the consignment and the desired shipping method.
Please note that our minimum postage charge reflects our cost of processing, picking, packing and despatching your order and may sometimes appear disproportionate with an order of very low value. An order of £10 or less will usually attract the minimum postage charge, so we recommend you add some other items to increase the order value to make the postage charge more cost effective.

  1. IOSS (Import One Stop Shop) All-Inclusive Shipping. Economical service for residential customer, low value orders under 150 € excluding VAT & shipping. No customs fees, duties, or additional charges. EU VAT included. There is nothing more to pay. Please see below for further details. Please Note: We are currently unable to offer this service to Republic of Ireland, Cyprus or Malta.
  2. EU Standard All-Inclusive Shipping. For residential customer orders over 150 € excluding VAT & shipping. This includes all customs fees, EU VAT & and any duty. There is nothing more to pay. Please see below for further details. Please Note: We are currently unable to offer this service to Germany, Cyprus or Malta.
  3. EU Standard or Express Saver Shipping. (DAP - Delivered at Place) for residential or business customers for orders of any value. This includes the cost of delivery but excludes payment of EU VAT, any duty or customs clearance fees which must be paid by you direct to the carrier. Please see below for further details.

The ideal choice for residential customer orders over 150 € excluding VAT & shipping. Provides a very convenient solution for larger consignments to the EU.

We ship your order door-to-door inclusive of all charges. Our Standard All-Inclusive Delivery service takes care of everything for you in one, single payment. Orders are delivered quickly with no customs or border delays and there are no additional charges to worry about. Just place your order using our All-Inclusive Delivery service and we will take care of everything for you.
  • For orders over 150 € excluding VAT & shipping.
  • All-inclusive door-to-door price for parts.
  • Delivery & EU VAT included.
  • Customs fees and any duty included.
  • No additional charges.
  • The price we quote is the price you pay*

EU Standard or Express Saver Shipping (DAP - Delivered at Place)
Available to residential and business customers.

Available for all orders placed by web, telephone & email.

Our door-to-door Standard or Express Saver (DAP – Delivered at Place) delivery service only charges you for the cost of parts & shipping and excludes EU VAT, any duty or customs clearance fees. The carrier collects the additional costs from you prior to delivery (see below).

Although this method of shipping may appear cheaper at the outset, it can sometimes work out more expensive than the Standard All Inclusive Delivery or IOSS services noted above, depending upon order value and number of items in the order.
  • Note that all prices shown on our website exclude VAT.
  • EU VAT (based on the country of destination) is payable, plus a brokerage fee* and duty** if applicable.
  • Our carrier will collect these charges from you prior to delivery - a link will be sent requesting payment.
  • The shipping charge displayed on our website does not include these charges if this option is selected.
  • Our carrier will handle the customs formalities.
  • A commercial invoice will be included with your order.
  • EU businesses will need to provide us with an EORI number upon placing an order.
  • If your order contains any backorder parts it will be held till complete.
*A brokerage fee is calculated and charged by the carrier 'per consignment' upon customs entry.
** Duty is applicable to items that originate from outside of the UK or EU.

EU Delivery Information

We utilise Deutsche Post for small packages and GLS, DHL, Fedex or UPS for larger parcels for delivery by road to most European destinations. We also use UPS and DHL Air services for urgent orders. Large European orders are sent by air or road freight by alternate carriers, depending upon destination and speed of service required.

We aim to despatch all standard export orders within 2-4 working days of receipt, subject to stock availability, payment for goods and shipping charges being received. Orders containing items which are advertised as “available to order” or are temporarily out of stock will take longer depending on stock availability from our suppliers. To keep shipping charges as low as possible, we may hold orders until all stock is available to ship as one consignment (ie. Held ‘til Complete - HTC).

Delivery times are dependent on location and the delivery method selected. See the guide below for estimated times. Bulky and very heavy items may take longer. A Next Day service is available for very urgent orders to certain European locations. All orders sent by Carrier will require a signature on delivery. You can choose to have your order sent to an alternative work address or direct to your garage. We will send you an order despatch confirmation email and tracking number providing we have your email address. Order tracking is not available for Deutsche Post Mail deliveries and we cannot accept a claim for loss unless at least 50 working days have passed from the due delivery date.

Carrier shipping charges (including packaging & handling) are based on weight and volume.
Our systems automatically estimate the shipping charge based only on the weight of the goods.

For orders that include oversize, large / bulky parts (e.g., body panels), an additional shipping charge may be incurred which will not be reflected in the estimated charge our systems display. This is because our systems calculate on physical weight, rather than volumetric weight. This cannot be calculated until the order is packed, measured, and weighed. If the volumetric weight exceeds the physical weight, we will notify you by email prior to despatch if the shipping charge our system has estimated is insufficient, and inform you of the new shipping total, seeking your authorisation to proceed. Certain large or bulky items may also incur an additional packing charge.

  • You will receive notification from the carrier of any Tax or Duty levied by the country of destination which can then paid directly to the carrier, prior to delivery.
  • For Australia, New Zealand & Norway, please refer to Prices, VAT, Tax & Payment for details on GST and VAT.

Please check your parcels
When you sign for a parcel being delivered, please inspect it carefully. If it has suffered in transit, you can mark the delivery note 'Parcel Damaged', before signing, or even refuse delivery in serious cases. We do of course pack carefully to help avoid these problems! Some deliveries involve more than one parcel - please check that all have been received.

We must be advised within 48 hours of delivery of any shortages or damaged goods.

Loss In Transit
If your parcel does not arrive, we have to establish our claim with the carriers concerned before we can send a replacement consignment. This can sometimes be a lengthy process, and if your part is needed urgently, a second order can be paid for to save time. We refund one of your orders as soon as the carriers clear our claim.

Orders are delivered quickly with no customs or border delays and there are no additional charges to worry about. Our door-to-door Standard or Express Saver (DAP – Delivered at Place) delivery service only charges you for the cost of parts & shipping and excludes EU VAT, any duty or customs clearance fees. The carrier collects the additional costs from you prior to delivery (see below).

Although this method of shipping may appear cheaper at the outset, it can sometimes work out more expensive than the Standard All Inclusive Delivery or IOSS services noted above, depending upon order value and number of items in the order.
  • Note that all prices shown on our website exclude VAT.
  • EU VAT (based on the country of destination) is payable, plus a brokerage fee* and duty** if applicable.
  • Our carrier will collect these charges from you prior to delivery - a link will be sent requesting payment.
  • The shipping charge displayed on our website does not include these charges if this option is selected.
  • Our carrier will handle the customs formalities.
  • A commercial invoice will be included with your order.
  • EU businesses will need to provide us with an EORI number upon placing an order.
*A brokerage fee is calculated and charged by the carrier 'per consignment' upon customs entry.

EU Delivery Information

We utilise Deutsche Post for small packages and GLS, DHL, Fedex or UPS for larger parcels for delivery by road to most European destinations. We also use UPS and DHL Air services for urgent orders. Large European orders are sent by air or road freight by alternate carriers, depending upon destination and speed of service required.

We aim to despatch all standard export orders within 2-4 working days of receipt, subject to stock availability, payment for goods and shipping charges being received. Orders containing items which are advertised as “available to order” or are temporarily out of stock will take longer depending on stock availability from our suppliers. To keep shipping charges as low as possible, we may hold orders until all stock is available to ship as one consignment (ie. Held ‘til Complete - HTC).

Delivery times are dependent on location and the delivery method selected. See the guide below for estimated times. Bulky and very heavy items may take longer. A Next Day service is available for very urgent orders to certain European locations. All orders sent by Carrier will require a signature on delivery. You can choose to have your order sent to an alternative work address or direct to your garage. We will send you an order despatch confirmation email and tracking number providing we have your email address. Order tracking is not available for Deutsche Post Mail deliveries and we cannot accept a claim for loss unless at least 50 working days have passed from the due delivery date.

Carrier shipping charges (including packaging & handling) are based on weight and volume.
Our systems automatically estimate the shipping charge based only on the weight of the goods.

For orders that include oversize, large / bulky parts (e.g., body panels), an additional shipping charge may be incurred which will not be reflected in the estimated charge our systems display. This is because our systems calculate on physical weight, rather than volumetric weight. This cannot be calculated until the order is packed, measured, and weighed. If the volumetric weight exceeds the physical weight, we will notify you by email prior to despatch if the shipping charge our system has estimated is insufficient, and inform you of the new shipping total, seeking your authorisation to proceed. Certain large or bulky items may also incur an additional packing charge.

Please check your parcels
When you sign for a parcel being delivered, please inspect it carefully. If it has suffered in transit, you can mark the delivery note 'Parcel Damaged', before signing, or even refuse delivery in serious cases. We do of course pack carefully to help avoid these problems! Some deliveries involve more than one parcel - please check that all have been received.

We must be advised within 48 hours of delivery of any shortages or damaged goods.

Loss In Transit
If your parcel does not arrive, we have to establish our claim with the carriers concerned before we can send a replacement consignment. This can sometimes be a lengthy process, and if your part is needed urgently, a second order can be paid for to save time. We refund one of your orders as soon as the carriers clear our claim.
