In May 1995, the Rover 400 Series was introduced to the British market, serving as a continuation and expansion of its successful compact executive car lineage. Built on the Honda Domani platform through an enduring partnership with Honda, this model series sought to deliver a blend of comfort and refinement targeted at discerning motorists. It offered saloon and hatchback variants that catered to both family-oriented buyers and company car fleets. The range featured Rover's established K-series petrol engines along with L-series diesels; these were lauded for their balance between performance efficiency and lower running costs.
With the dawn of a new millennium came another transformation: in January 2000, the Rover 45 made its debut. This launch represented more than just a rebranding - it entailed significant updates aimed at elevating perceived quality within its segment. Enhancements comprised upgraded interior materials and redesigned front grille patterns reminiscent of higher-end Rovers from that era. Underneath, it maintained the robust mechanical foundation inherited from its predecessor, ensuring durability persisted in this iteration as well.
Despite later being overshadowed by financial challenges within the MG Rover Group, which eventually led to their collapse in April 2005, models like the Rover 45 stood as a testament to reliability. Throughout their tenure, they served as steadfast fixtures in Britain's automotive landscape, catering to mid-range consumers who valued traditional British engineering virtues and everyday practicality.

Rimmer Bros, established in 1982, is a British company supporting British cars. The Rimmer Bros service is hard to beat: we have the parts, we guarantee the quality, we're keen on price, we deliver fast, we know your car.
As the British motor industry contracted, Rimmer Bros expanded to ensure the continued maintenance, restoration and enjoyment of many beloved classic cars no longer supported by their original makers. Our support, starting strongly with Triumph, extended to include Rover SD1 models in the 1990s, and later expanded to cover Land Rover and Range Rover models, reaching up to the present day. In 2005, our commitment grew to encompass more modern MG-Rover cars and by 2012 we further extended our range to include Jaguar models from 1996 onwards. This growth reflects our dedication to serving the diverse community of classic and modern British car enthusiasts.
We are proud to have British Motor Heritage Approval for our Triumph, MG, Mini and Rover SD1 parts operation. First appointed in 1987, Heritage Approval acknowledges the highest possible standards of service, product knowledge, financial stability and well-equipped premises. We always carry a wide range of Heritage Original Equipment parts in stock.
As a long-established business, customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do.
