The length of the tube on the cover must not exceed 2 inches. This is important to check, because the release fingers on the diaphragm type clutches now supplied will foul on the 2 3/8” tube originally found on some early TR's.
The part number 100157 may be found stamped on either length of cover, so measure the tube and shorten if necessary.
