Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? I bought MG TF gear cable, not gear knob and lever. Seems OK, I hope it lasts longer then the original part (only 50000 km)...

Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? My reviews tend to go off on tangents, for that I apologize and will get straight to the point from here on. There are several types of wood shifter knobs out there in the wild. I have several from different eras. The best by far is the dealer installed (extra cost option) wooden knob with MG logo which was added to my 1974 MGB according to the original sales invoice that was included with the car when I bought it last year. That knob features only metal and wood construction, no plastic. Things change but they certainly do not improve. The shifter knob offered by Rimmer Brothers is modern with modern construction and components. It is similar in feel to the MG Midget stock shifter knob and fits well in the palm of your hand. I could easily see this being used on modern as well as vintage MG cars with little question to its period accuracy. It’s a good item fairly well constructed and looks nice. Be careful not to overtighten and possibly strip out the plastic threads and it should last a good long time. Mine went into the wife’s 1979 MG Midget in place of the stock dull black shifter knob with shifting pattern emblazoned on the top. She doesn’t need the shifting pattern, but with as many different manual boxes as we have I am certain I will be stirring that shifter like scrambled eggs frantically looking for reverse if I ever need to move the car!

Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? Just inherited my Dad’s 1975 Mgb. The knob brings back many good memories from my first B, a 71 GT.

Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? 1997 MGF The finish is very good with a beautiful smooth, glossy feel. It’s a little tricky to install as It doesn’t come pre threaded bit once on, it’s secure. Recommend

Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? I used it as a replacement for an old leather knob. Is very solid and good to touch. In winter maybe a bit cold but very good to handle. I like this knob.
