Whilst the standard MX5 breather system works well, pulling vacuum to reduce crankcase pressure under load load and throttle, it’s downside is that it recirculates all of the oil vapours directly back into the inlet manifold, reducing the octane rating of the fuel and negatively affecting the performance of your engine.
This DaveFab catch can, specifically designed for the MX5 fits perfectly in the engine bay where the original charcoal canister, of which by now is rendered totally useless, is mounted.
Supplied with:1.5m of high temperature hose and clips.
Internally baffled to separate suspended oil vapours from the air, resulting in clean air and less oily inlets.1l capacity to avoid any unnecessary emptying.
Oil level sight gauge.
Laser profiled baffle to eliminate the chance of steel wool or other baffle material entering the engine.

1x outlet grommet to suit 14mm barbed adaptor for breather filter
1x drain plug
1x breather filter
2x M6 stainless steel flanged bolts
2x M6 nyloc nuts
