A 20 oz canvas hooding fitted as standard to many pre 1960 classic cars. For many years this material has been a popular upgrade to a vinyl hood particularly amongst Classic Car owners, however unless you have a specific requirement for old world authenticity then we strongly advise that you consider a Stayfast or Mohair hood. The colourfastness of Duck is not suited for sunnier climates where it would be subject to premature fading of colour.

Double Duck will require periodic treatment with a colour restorer to keep it in good condition.

ORIGINAL SPECIFICATION PVC HOOD
Hood Characteristics
An Original Specification PVC hood that is re-manufactured (for the MkIV & 1500 only) using the original Coventry Hood & Seating hand production jigs & tooling. Indistinguishable from the original specification in weight, pattern and texture.
Colours Available: Black only.

STANDARD PVC HOOD
Hood Characteristics
A popular grade vinyl that offers good value.
Colours Available: Black only.

SUPERIOR PVC HOOD
Hood Characteristics
Our Superior Vynide (black only) & Everflex (colours) hoods are a very close match to the original specification.

DOUBLE DUCK HOOD

A very good quality (20oz) canvas type material (without an inner lining) - fitted as standard to many classic cars, which is popular alternative to PVC.

UV Stabilised & Flame Retardant
Our range of Superior PVC hoods are both Flame Retardant & UV Stabilised.

Please note that all our hoods are manufactured to the very highest standards and tolerances to ensure a perfect fit. They are supplied with hood fastening sockets and detailed fitting instructions.

Our Tonneau Covers & Hood Stowage Covers compliment our range of replacement hoods.

MkIV & 1500 hood cover and frame type.
Fold away type hood which stows behind rear seats, protected by a separate and visible hood stowage cover.
The leading edge (front) of the hood fastened by 2 locking levers. Rear of hood located by 3 rivets to a single retaining bracket (on rear deck), and by press studs. Hood shaped for squared-off door glass. 'Zip-out' rear window fitted as standard.

Note; Original Factory Hood Stowage Covers.
Different hood stowage covers were fitted depending upon whether the vehicle was originally supplied with or without a factory fitted hard-top.

Fit my Spitfire 1500 perfectly with very high grade materials and quality construction. Mohair is costly but worth every penny.
