The Kit Contains:
4 OEM complete suspension strut assemblies - These are specifically designed to transform the characteristic harsh ride, to a more comfortable ride whilst still maintaining that sports car feel. The dampers feature the all-important and expensive, lower mounting spherical bearing. This allows the damper to pivot around the bolt centre, thus reducing the load placed on the single mounting bolt.
4 Uprated lower mounting bolts - These are hot forged and ground to a specific size, eliminating any unwanted play between the bolt and the rose joint, which was a flaw in the original Rover design. If installing on MG Motor models (2007-2011) the bolts will not be required.

We've all heard about the original Rover bolts shearing off during road use, often with near serious results.
Rover introduced a "fix" by using a 10.9 grade bolt but didn't actually solve the problem which was an over generous tolerance between the bolts and the inner bush diameter.
This uprated bolt not only matches the improved tensile strength of the Rover "fix" bolt but also eliminates the play from the over generous tolerance by means of a precision ground shank.
The last few threads are deliberately deformed for self locking purposes.
Suitable for all MG Rover original dampers and soft ride kits on vehicles up to and including 2005 MY.
Not suitable for Spax installations or MG Motor TF (2007-2011)
Please note: These uprated bolts may be a tight fit to standard shock absorbers fitted with standard fixed bushes, as opposed to rose-jointed bushes, therefore may require some slight reaming in order to achieve adequate fitment.
