Uprated Bolt Kit of 4 - MGTF Lower Damper Mounting - RYG000400URK
Improved design, uprated, hot forged, high tensile bolt kit suitable for UK model MG TF lower damper mounting.
We've all heard about the original Rover bolts shearing off during road use, often with near serious results. Rover introduced a "fix" by using a 10.9 grade bolt but didn't actually solve the problem which was an over generous tolerance between the bolts and the inner bush diameter.
This uprated bolt not only matches the improved tensile strength of the Rover "fix" bolt but also eliminates the play from the over generous tolerance by means of a precision ground shank.
The last few threads are deliberately deformed for self locking purposes.
Suitable for all MG Rover original dampers and soft ride kits on vehicles up to and including 2005 MY.
Not suitable for Spax installations or MG Motor TF (2007-2011)
Please note: These uprated bolts may be a tight fit to standard shock absorbers fitted with standard fixed bushes, as opposed to rose-jointed bushes, therefore may require some slight reaming in order to achieve adequate fitment.
