Triumph TR6 Propshaft
Keep your Triumph TR6's propshaft delivering smooth power transmission with quality components designed for reliable drivetrain operation. Whether you're experiencing vibration, worn universal joints or centre bearing failure, we stock genuine and aftermarket propshafts, universal joints, centre bearings and mounting hardware for all TR6 models from 1969-1976.
Power Transmission Components
TR6 propshafts connect the gearbox output to the Triumph TR6 rear axle differential through two universal joints and a centre bearing. The sliding spline accommodates suspension movement whilst the centre bearing supports the shaft length. Universal joints require regular greasing to prevent premature failure; worn joints create distinctive clunking during acceleration. Smooth power delivery starts at the Triumph TR6 engine internals, flowing through the transmission system.
Propshaft Maintenance and Balancing
Propshaft balance affects drivetrain smoothness dramatically. Professional balancing eliminates vibration that damages bearings throughout the transmission.
