Triumph GT6 Wipers & Wash System

The Triumph GT6 wipers and wash system changed significantly between marks, and getting the right parts starts with knowing which motor your car runs. The Mk1 used a Lucas DR3A electromagnetic motor with field coils. From the Mk2 onwards, Triumph switched to the Lucas 14W PMDC (permanent magnet DC) motor, a two-speed, self-parking unit that's far easier to source and service today.

If you're on a Mk2 or Mk3, the wiper motor part number 725374 supersedes the original 712913. Same fitment, different marking, don't get caught out ordering by the old number. We also stock the Tudor-specification windscreen washer bottle in OE form, and the chrome bezel kit (octagonal nut, bezel and seal), so you're not hunting down individual pieces.

One upgrade, the Smartscreen intermittent wiper controller, is something worth considering. It fits all post-1967 negative-earth Triumph models with permanent magnet self-parking motors, making it correct for the GT6 Mk2 and Mk3. It won't work with the Mk1 field coil motor. Smartscreen tucks behind the dash out of sight, uses your original switch, and needs no extra holes or knobs.

We've been supplying GT6 parts from our Lincoln warehouse since 1982, despatching to 195 destinations worldwide. If you're also refreshing the GT6 Exterior Trim and want the bezels to match, or need related electrical components from GT6 Electrical Parts, it's all here.
