As with the standard size centre box systems detailed above, these two ‘bomb’ systems fit directly to the car’s original cast iron manifold (see cast iron manifold details). The ‘bomb’ centre box (actually more akin to a resonator) offers not only a sportier exhaust note, but also improved ground clearance, particularly on chrome bumper cars where the exhaust is naturally so close to the ground.
