Product Description
Door Trim Panels - Smooth Grain - Pair - Beige - RL1331BEIGE
Original Trim Specification & Availability
The very first Spitfire was launched in October 1962, and production continued for nearly 20 years when the very last Spitfire 1500 rolled off the production line in August 1980. Consequently original Factory trim in mint condition is, to say the least, something of a rarity, which poses quite a few problems for those owners who wish to restore their classic Spitfire to original showroom condition. All is not lost...
Re-manufactured Trim
To overcome this problem, we can supply virtually the entire range of Spitfire interior trim items, though for the foreseeable future we will only be able to supply Matador Red trim in the smooth Stag grain. If you prefer something a little bit more luxurious, you can order seat cover kits in real Leather.
Parts Listings & Part Numbers
Throughout the Interior & Trim section, we have retained wherever possible, the original Factory part numbering system (apart from where we supply trim in Kits such as Seat Cover Kits). This will prove useful if you are using our catalogue in conjunction with a BL parts book, and help you identify the trim fitted to your vehicle. You never know, the previous owner may have changed the seats!
We have also shown throughout this section the approximate year/range, chassis/commission/VIN number and/or the trim characteristics, IE: material, colour, pattern, etc. Although on occasions we have listed RH and LH items individually (with their own part number), we strongly recommend you fit all trim items in pairs or vehicle sets to ensure a colour match. There are a few exceptions due to manufacturing restrictions, where parts are only available in pairs or vehicle sets.
Has the previous owner changed the seats?
Before you order any seat trim, please ensure that your seat frame/trim is as specified by the factory.
Remember
Your trim may well be over 30 years old, so it will probably have faded in the sun, even in England (or more likely colour washed with the rain!). If you are replacing the seat covers, don't forget to check the seat, foams and fittings. If they are old and tired they really won't compliment your new trim and should be replaced as a matter or course, especially if you're considering Leather seat covers.
IMPORTANT Interior Trim Information
If you modify it - then you own it!
All our re-manufactured interior trim is produced to the highest standards. If you genuinely believe that any of our trim (seat covers/carpets, etc) does not/will not fit, then we will either exchange it or offer a full refund (in line with our normal procedure). However, if any item of trim has been modified in any way whatsoever (ie: cut, trimmed, unstitched, etc) by the purchaser in an attempt to rectify a problem, then any claims for faulty goods will be Null & Void.
