Features 143mm long rod, as originally fitted to vehicles up to VIN YA999999. Vehicles from VIN 1A000001 on originally had links with a rod length of 158mm, but these may have been replaced over time with the earlier, shorter type because that is what Land Rover now specify for all Freelanders, irrespective of age. If replacing a link on a car from VIN 1A000001 on, check the length of what is on the car before buying. If you have 158mm type links you can replace one or both with original 158mm link part number RBM100262 (while stocks last), or replace both links with the shorter type RBM100172, RBM100172P1 or RBM100172P. You should never have links of unequal length fitted to the vehicle.
