The “Wheel Saver” has been designed to help prevent the theft of spare wheels from Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4 (LR3/4) and Range Rover Sport. It works by restricting access to the winching mechanism that secures the spare wheel beneath the vehicle, rendering it almost impossible to steal the spare wheel.
The “Wheel Saver” could not be simpler to fit, either at home or as part of the standard Land Rover service. The wheel is lowered from inside the vehicle, the winch shackle (LR pt no. LR010453) is passed through the “wheel saver” disc, the cable protection tube is passed over the cable spring and secured with the slot washer. Finally winch the wheel assembly back in the usual way. “Wheel saver” will now ensure your spare wheel is protected from unauthorised attempts at removal.
