Product Description
Triumph TR6 LHD to RHD Conversion Kit
If you have recently imported, or own a left hand drive TR6 and wish to convert to RHD, we can help!
You should not underestimate the amount of work involved (if you do it yourself) or the cost of labour (if you have it done professionally). However, the cost of the basic essentials is relatively modest and a RHD car will always have enhanced value in the UK - so it is worth considering!
We have assembled a kit of bare essentials (required as a minimum) and also listed other options depending on your requirements and budget.
Conversion Kit, LHD to RHD
This is a ‘bare essential’ kit and it includes the major items required to do the job... It does not include every single ‘nut and bolt’!
The wiper motor will need to be reset as RHD and LHD versions park on opposite sides of the car. The conversion is simple. Remove the top cover plate on the motor and reuse the large gear. There is a peg inserted in this gear which determines the park position. Split the halves of the gear and rotate by 180º before reconnecting them and re-assembling into the motor. Check that the motor is correct for your TR; it should be stamped 115º to give the correct sweep. See also ‘Electrical - Wiper System’.
