MGB Exhaust Systems - Standard Mild Steel Five Piece Systems - 4 Cylinder
Originally intended as an easier way of shipping otherwise bulky exhaust systems to export markets, the individual components of the five piece system are also useful as a range of repair parts for one and three piece systems. Be aware though that the five piece system was only ever offered in chrome bumper form, so the rear silencer fits chrome bumper models only - the rest of the system will fit chrome or rubber. Also be aware if using part of the five piece system to repair a one or three piece system that all its parts were intended to sleeve together and thus have varying diameters, so some minor adaptation will be required in some circumstances to fit these parts to the other systems.

Rear silencer for 5 part system used it to replace 1 piece tail box has to fettle then weld in place

Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for?
MGB GT. Had to weld to original one piece system as diameter of pipes are different. Was expecting to have to do this as it is explained on the web page that diameters are different.
