Please note: These are New but Old Stock and may suffer from the inner foam crumbling. The foam can be removed and the cover used without it. Please vacuum before fitting especially the underside.

To fit, open either door and press fit the retaining popper. Close that door. There is a rigid cord around the periphery of the stowage cover which is inboard of the exterior vinyl, this cord sits under the lip of the main hood. (leaving the cover under a gentle heat source for a short time may soften the cord if needed) Working from one side feed it around maintaining a tight fit along the way until you reach the other door B post where the second press stud can be applied. Finally fit the 3 poppers in the cockpit area.

We recommend this metal male body stud is used when the female part on the material is also metal, see 554517 and 713501.
If the female part on the material is plastic we recommend replacing with the metal versions, since plastic body stud 713511ORIG is no longer available and a metal body stud will cause premature failure of a plastic popper.

MGF and MG TF Hood Stowage Cover and Fixings
The hood stowage cover originally offered on MGFs up to 1997 was a lovely simple and clean design which attached around the rear cockpit finisher using a stretch shot cord sewn into the cover. Unfortunately in use it proved to be a bit of a frustration for the average driver to fit. The later, 1997 onwards type featured a flap along the rear edge which was secured to the car by the boot lid - not such a clean design, but certainly easier to use.
All hood stowage covers now sold are to this later design and will fit all MGFs and MG TFs, including the cars up to 1997. A choice of two ranges are offered, original fitment type in black or accessory fitment type in vinyl colours specially produced to match the other MGF and MG TF accessory interior trim and packages in this catalogue.

I'm impressed with the work-man ship of the stitching and cut of the material. The Red colour blends beautifully with the dark 'Anthracite" of my MG TF, MY2004.
