The metal handle originally used on Austin Healey Sprites, MG Midgets, and MGB up to 1967 is no longer available. In 1968 this was replaced by a much less expensive black plastic handle (Part No: CZA7109) which was designed to break off in the event of an accident and was fitted to the Triumph TR7 and other BL vehicles. They were also prone to breaking in use, a source of understandable frustration. We offer the original black plastic handle and a metal, chrome plated version from a Jaguar E Type, for those looking for something different. Part number BD32364. Sold separately.
