Brand new unit based on the original Stag distributor housing and drive gear.
Contemporary looks with all the benefits of electronic ignition. No more worn out base plates and points!
Can be used to replace single & twin point European/UK spec distributors (not directly suitable for USA spec as the unit only features a vacuum advance and no retard however, the engine could be re-tuned to suit).
Cannot be used with the standard ignition coil. A high performance 12v coil should be installed - GCL110HP. A ballast resistor is not required.
Includes wiring installation instructions.

These completely self-contained electronic ignition units offer a simple alternative to traditional points and condenser arrangement. They are easy to install with no external control boxes to mount and only two wires to hook up and no permanent modifications involved. The unit uses a sealed Hall Effect sensor that is impervious to dirt, dust, moisture, or vibration, and retains standard advance curve. Unaffected by distributor shaft wear, maintains firing accuracy to within 1/4 degree, reduces spark scatter over the full rpm range.

NOTE
Very early (approx 200) Stags were fitted with the 'Single Contact Point' distributor. We can only supply 'Twin Contact' type distributors, which are suitable for all models.
