The Land Rover Series 2, steering is heavy, when compared to the modern Land Rover range, this is very noticeable when low speed manoeuvring, the steering wheel is retained onto the column in two ways, 1st is a clamp on steering wheel, the second is retained by a nut.
The EZ electric power steering kit is very handy when slow speed manoeuvring such as parking.
The conversion kit is designed to fit under the dashboard and be invisible, the column has all the mounts for the ignition lock and switches in the correct place.
The EZ Electric Power Steering system is truly speed sensitive, it will steer light at low speeds and not become lighter at high speed, supplied with full step by step instructions with photographs to make the fitting more easy to install.
The basic EZ-unit, is a 12 volt system with negative earth!.
There are extra wiring sets available so that the kit will work on a 6 volt or 24 volt system and/or positive earth.
