Power Steering Kit Austin Healey 100/4-6-3000 RHD/LHD Positive Earth - GEZ500ABP - EZP
As many owners of the Austin Healey, will know the interior space is limited, because of this some owner’s opt for a smaller diameter steering wheel, however this makes the steering heavier due to the lack of leverage. The EZ Electric Power Steering Kit, is the solution to this issue. The conversion kit is designed to fit under the dashboard and be invisible, the column has all the mounts for the ignition lock and switches in the correct place.
There are optional types of steering column on the Austin Healey,
1st has the steering column coming throw a hole in the dash board (which is the special bracket type,
2nd has a radiused cutout in the lower dash (whish is the standard bracket type).
Both then have the option of been an Adjustable or Non-adjustable column, Non-adjustable has a short spline for the steering wheel/hub to mount on to. Adjustable column has a long spline for the steering wheel/hub to mount on to.
The EZ Electric Power Steering system is truly speed sensitive, it will steer light at low speeds and not become lighter at high speed, supplied with full step by step instructions with photographs to make the fitting more easy to install.
The basic EZ-unit, is a 12 volt system with negative earth!. There are extra wiring sets available so that the kit will work on a 6 volt or 24 volt system and/or positive earth.
