Product Description

Boot Lid - Steel - 911327 - Steelcraft
Offer your Roadster the Hypergram advantage!
These lightweight wheels with a 12-spoke design are motorsport inspired in construction and appearance.
The Hypergram wheels by Konig employ Flow Forming Technology which involves the application of pressure to the inner barrel of the wheel, while spinning and after it has been casted.
Like the forging process, it results in a lighter and stronger wheel with greater shock resistance and elongation properties.

Available in a large range of aggressive sizing, each wheel is finished in either Matte Grey, Race Bronze, Metallic Carbon with Machined Lip or Matte Black in 15x7.5, 15x8, 15x8.5, 17x8, 17x9, 18x8.5, 18x9.5, 18x10.5 and 18x11 sizes.

Application specific.

Expensive for what it is, not as good as BMH panels previously ordered

Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for?

I Acquired this Steelcraft boot lid as a replacement for the fibreglass one previously ordered, which I returned because I was unhappy with the quality / finish. Whilst I have not yet attempted to fit the item it appears to bear a good similarity with the original equipment and it was extremely well packaged. For the price though I would have expected better for example: 1) I don't know whether this has been manufactured from the original Triumph tooling press. Perhaps not? 2) The corners (the areas that normally corrode) do not seem perfectly flat and one has a particularly noticeable irregular contour to the touch. I would expect some body shop work to be required prior to achieving a perfectly good sprayed outcome. 3)Unlike the fibreglass equivalent, there is a degree of hinge adjustment available through insertion of a floating threaded steel plate, just like on the original. However those plates seem a little jammed at the moment so will need some persuasion when fitting. 4) If would have been nice to have received information about the protective coating, which does appear to be quite good. For example would it need to be fully removed before application of an epoxy primer ?

"Yesterday afternoon I ordered 2 bumper mounts for a P38 Range Rover. This morning at 10 o'clock they were delivered to my home. I feel I must congratulate you and your company for service beyond the call of duty. This means my car will be off the road for less than 24 hours. To say I am impressed is an understatement and you have got a customer who will not only use your services again but will recommend you to all my Land Rover friends as well. Thank you once again for outstanding service." Customer Comment
