The Mk4 MX 5 has an excellent transmission reminiscent of the original, but just like the original, it can always be improved, this CravenSpeed short shifter kit does exactly that.
The shifter reduces throw by 30% and features a weighted knob with a stainless steel core and acetal body. Not only is the throw shortened, but the weighted knob makes shifting that much easier.
Every piece of this shifter is precision machined from the highest quality materials.
Everything you need is included, a little extra white lithium grease, some thread lock, and even a tube of silicone gasket material to seal the shifter housing spacer.
Fully assembled, this kit is only 1/8" shorter than the stock setup, while still achieving A 30% shorter throw.
This shifter maintains all reverse lockout functionality, simply push down to shift into reverse.
