If your shifter needs any new boots or bushings, it’s best to replace them all. Also clean out any old fluid and gunk, and refill the turret while you’re at it, for super smooth shifting.
Our kit is a mix of OEM Mazda and Aftermarket pieces to keep the cost much lower than the full OEM rebuild kit from your local dealership.
Mazda changed the design of the 6-speed transmission somewhere in between the 2001 and 2002 model years.
So if you have a 2001-2002 6-speed, please check your VIN before ordering your shifter rebuild kit.
If the last six digits of your VIN are below 220739, order the 5-speed/early 6-speed kit.
If the last six digits of your VIN are above 220738, then order the 2002-2005 rebuild kit.
