Cylinder Head Assembly Alloy Cross Flow A-Series - 451807
BMC A Series 7 port Crossflow Aluminium Heads are assembled with valves and springs. Ready for a pair of DCOEs or throttle bodies. Supplied with carb mounting studs, washers, nuts and gaskets, the head can be used on 848/950/997/998/1098 and 1275cc.
The head is designed to utilise the standard valve gear, and is fitted with standard size AE valves - 1.3inch 33mm intake / 1.15 inch 29mm exhaust. Standard AE valve springs are also used. Combustion chamber volume is 23cc
The head is supplied with hardened valve seats to allow the use of unleaded fuels.
Standard gaskets can be used with the exception of the head gasket where copper gaskets are not recommended and all torque settings are as stock. The stock exhaust manifold can be used, and exhaust manifold and thermostat housing stud threads are cut at 5/16 UNC.
