Classic Jaguar Parts

The cars that now qualify as classic Jaguars are no longer the E-Types and Mark 2s of the 1960s alone. The XK8 launched almost 30 years ago, the X308 XJ is older than that, and the S-Type and X-Type that arrived under Ford ownership have crossed the threshold into modern classic territory. Owners of these cars face the same challenge as any classic owner: keeping a car alive long after the manufacturer has moved on to its next platform, and finding parts from a supplier who actually understands what is fitted to which variant.

Our Jaguar XK8 range covers the 1996 to 2006 grand tourer that opened the modern era for Jaguar, with the 4.0-litre V8 fitted to early cars and the 4.2-litre V8 from the 2002 model year. Both engines were available with supercharged variants in the XKR specification, and the timing chain tensioner issue on early cars is the single most discussed maintenance concern among XK8 owners. We carry the updated tensioner specification along with the full range of service, suspension and body components needed to keep these cars on the road.

The Jaguar XJ in the saloon line is a separate story. Two distinct XJ generations sit within the classic Jaguar parts category: the XJ X308 from 1997 to 2002, which carried the final development of the AJ-V8 in the traditional XJ silhouette, and the XJ X350 from 2003 to 2009, which moved to aluminium monocoque construction while retaining a deliberately classical exterior design. The X308 in particular is now firmly modern classic territory, with values rising and parts demand growing accordingly. We stock engine, suspension, brake and body components for both generations, alongside genuine, OEM and aftermarket alternatives where Jaguar has discontinued its own supply.

The mid-range saloons of the Ford era have aged in interesting ways. Our Jaguar S-Type range covers the 1999 to 2008 retro-styled saloon that consciously echoed the 1960s Mark 2 design language while running on the DEW98 platform shared with the Lincoln LS. The Jaguar X-Type saloon and estate, built from 2001 to 2009, was the brand's compact executive entry and the first Jaguar with all-wheel drive as a primary option. Both cars are now well into the territory where original dealer support has thinned out, and Rimmer Bros stocks the body panels, suspension components, electrical items and service parts that owners need.

For the second-generation XK that arrived in 2006, our Jaguar XK X150 range covers the 2006 to 2014 aluminium-chassis grand tourer in both coupé and convertible form. The XKR variant with its supercharged AJ-V8 is the performance version most owners look for parts for, but the standard 4.2 and later 5.0-litre cars share most of their major components. Body panels, brake components and the cooling system in particular are well-served by our stock holding, along with genuine and OEM service parts for the AJ-V8 engine family in all its variants.

Founded in Lincoln in 1982, we extended our coverage to include Jaguar parts in 2012, recognising that the 1996-onwards Jaguar range was reaching the point where independent specialist support would become essential. Today we supply Jaguar parts to owners, garages and specialists in the UK and 195 countries worldwide, and our parts team can confirm the right specification for your VIN, whether you are restoring an XJ X308 or maintaining an X-Type as a daily driver.
