Do you have a Hitachi Compressor or an AMK Compressor Fitted?

The most recognisable features of the Hitachi unit are a hexagonal end cover on the air dryer mounted alongside the compressor and a ‘D’ shaped cradle holding the whole assembly to the car through upper and lower rubber mountings. AMK compressors have a round end cover on the dryer and mount to the car by a large plate angle bracket.

For Early AMK (identified by angled push fit air inlet hose) or Fit: LR072537 (late type AMK pump plus complete installation kit and YWB500220P1 relay. The kit allows fitment of the late AMK pump in place of early AMK or Hitachi pumps)
For Late AMK (identified by horizontal screw fit air inlet hose) Fit: LR078650P1 (OEM late AMK unit) Or LR078650 (Land Rover boxed late AMK unit)
Plus, if required, LR078650BPIK (late AMK type installation kit)
