Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? Fitted to MGF VVC (1998): The leather is much thicker than the original fake leather cloth, especially at the corner seams. There was no way the retaining ring would ever fit. I had to carefully remove material from both the back face of the centre console moulding and the retaining rim before the assembly would go together. Otherwise, it is nice part which appears to be good quality.
