Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for?
Having refurbished all the wheel brakes on my 73 TR6 I thought I'd change the seals in the master cylinder to complete the job. Having fitted this kit and refitting the cylinder the braking system was completely inoperative, fluid simply flowing back into the reservoir instead of pressurising the system. I bled the system thoroughly to ensure it was nothing to do with air but with no success – the system would not pressurise. I removed the master cylinder, stripped, double checked all seals and rebuilt it a second time but with exactly the same result upon refitting it. I have now refitted the original seals and the system is working properly again. I do not know if it was me or the kit but after wasting fluid and time I was unhappy with the situation. Emily at Rimmers was excellent, the cost of the kit was credited towards a new master cylinder which I am sure will do the trick. It may be me but.....
