Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? I wanted to purchase a spare MAP Sensor for my Discovery 3, 2.7, TDV6. Dirty MAP Sensors can cause a increased Fuel Consumption and I know when my MAP sensor needs cleaning. My fuel consumption drops from the usual 26-27 MPG City Driving to 18-19 MPG when Dirty. You can clean your MAP Sensor by using MAP Sensor Cleaner but you need to make sure it’s thoroughly Clean & Dry before using it again. I now change mine over and let my original MAP sensor to dry on the shelf. I always clean my Airfow Sensor and my other sensors to get the best fuel consumption out of my Discovery. 99% of the time it’s just dirty sensors I find but there’s always other reasons like leaking fuel injectors, Turbo, weak Compression. You illuminate the sensors and it’s one step closer to finding your cause. The MAP sensor is the Original one fitted to your Discovery 3. Fitting original parts I find makes your job easier. Rimmer Bros have thousands of genuine parts for Discovery 3. This is why Rimmer Bros is my main source of getting my parts from.
