Triumph GT6 Gearbox

The GT6 used a 4-speed all-synchromesh 3-rail gearbox throughout its production run from 1966 to 1973. Overdrive-equipped cars were factory-fitted with the Laycock de Normanville D-type unit. Oil capacity is 1.5 pints (0.9 litres) on non-overdrive models, rising to 2.375 pints (1.4 litres) on a full gearbox and overdrive assembly. Rimmer Bros has stocked Triumph GT6 gearbox parts from its Lincoln UK base since 1982, covering seals, bearings, gaskets, overhaul kits and reconditioned exchange units for both non-overdrive and overdrive specifications.
