The Range Rover P38A (Series 2), unveiled in 1994 as the successor to the revered Range Rover Classic, faced the daunting task of upholding the reputation of its iconic forerunner. While preserving its off-road prowess, it aimed to elevate on-road refinement, incorporating independent suspension with air springs, marking a substantial departure from previous models. The P38A's design retained distinctive elements from preceding Range Rovers, such as the iconic clamshell bonnet, all the while striving to maintain the quintessential road presence synonymous with the brand.
