Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? I have the original interior panels for my 1968 MGB. They are in fairly good shape with some minor cleaning and repair needed. I recently restored the seats using a new cover diaphragm and foam kit. Also I did sanding priming and painting of the seat frames. The red piping is faded on my interior panels and the black is not as black as it was over 50 years ago. The seats and carpet are new. The dash pad (American style Abingdon Pillow) is new. The paint will be new. And all the brightwork is new or refinished. These panels could be repaired to look like new or I could just buy new ones from Rimmer Brothers. So I did buy new ones and I am VERY happy!!! The new panels look perfect! They fit perfect! They match perfectly with the newly covered seats! I enthusiastically recommend these to anyone looking to make their old MGB look like new!!! Most of the time I try to reuse or refurbish as many original parts as possible. I have a constantly growing list of things to do on my four British Leyland cars and then suddenly there is an unexpected addition of a fifth car to my fleet. We recently purchased a decently running 1979 MG Midget with two previous owners, a bunch of minor repairs needed, and a terrible amateur paint job. The Midget is primarily the Wife’s car, and so I am dividing my already stretched time and effort towards getting the Midget done and presentable as quickly as possible while juggling the four other cars. Someday I’ll run out of restoration projects and I will be able to unpack those old MGB panels and restore them properly for fun, but for now, this was money well spent and well worth it!
