Much has been written about the benefits and failings of the petrol injection system made by Lucas that was fitted to Triumph TR5 and TR6 models. Few spares to assist the home repairer are available. The only major option is an exchange rebuilt unit, in the event of your own going wrong through normal wear and tear or intentional failure.  Units returned for exchange must be complete and serviceable or a surcharge will be levied until an acceptable item is received.
A standard metering unit is not suitable for unleaded fuel.  All metering units supplied by Rimmer Bros are suitable for use with unleaded or leaded fuel. Notice that we also list two TR6-type metering units for use on TR5s.  This is because some TR5s have been modified over the years to incorporate the air bleed tick-over system found originally on TR6s.  The two TR6 units listed allow for the choice of either the push on fuel return tube or the screw on type.
