Triumph GT6 Clutch

The Triumph GT6 clutch sits between the 2.0-litre straight-six engine and the gearbox, and it works hard. Mk2 and Mk3 cars produced from 1968 onwards used a hydraulically operated single-plate diaphragm clutch, and that's the configuration you'll find most parts listed for here. The earlier Mk1 used a cable-operated system, so confirming your mark before ordering matters.

Rimmer Bros has stocked GT6 clutch parts from Lincoln, UK, since 1982. You'll find clutch plates, covers, release bearings, master and slave cylinders, and bellhousing components. Some replacement clutch covers now use a 4-spring design rather than the original 6-spring type. They're supplied to the same tolerances and perform correctly, but the visual difference is worth knowing about before you open the box.

Once you've sorted the clutch, the natural next steps are the Triumph GT6 Gearbox and the Triumph GT6 Engine Components. For the drivetrain further back, see our Triumph GT6 Propshaft and Triumph GT6 Drive Shaft pages.
