Triumph GT6 Brake System
The Triumph GT6 brake system changed meaningfully across its production run from 1966 to 1973, and getting the right parts means knowing your mark. Mk1 and Mk2 cars used 2-pot front calipers with solid discs. Late Mk3 models from chassis KE/KF12389 onwards received uprated 16PB calipers with 3/16" pad retaining pins and improved heat dissipation. Rear brakes were drum throughout, using 9" drums on all variants.
Rimmer Bros has stocked GT6 brake parts since 1982, operating from Lincoln, UK, and supplying owners worldwide. You'll find calipers, brake discs, shoes, cylinders, hoses, master cylinders and GT6 Brake Kits for performance upgrades. Everything's listed by mark and chassis number, so you order with confidence.
Pair your braking work with a look at our Triumph GT6 Suspension and Triumph GT6 Chassis pages for a joined-up approach to the car's dynamics.
