Product Description
Triumph TR4-250 Carpet and Underfelt Sets
The TR4, like its predecessor the TR3A, was initially offered without front floor carpets, making do instead with much more practical moulded rubber mats. Into and through TR4A production, the situation was reversed and fully carpeted interiors became the norm, whereas the rubber mats became a factory special order option. This remained the theory until the end of TR5 and TR250 production. At the time of writing the original style rubber mats are not available; however all carpet sets are provided complete with front floor carpets.
If rubber mats are desired in their place, owners do have the option of using the pair of very fetching over mats listed later in this section.
The difference between a new TR4 carpet set and a TR4A, TR5, TR250 set does not immediately spring to mind, until one remembers the repositioning of the handbrake from the RH floor to the propshaft tunnel upon introduction of the TR4A. Thus the later style tunnel carpet incorporates a handbrake gaiter, also available separately (originally in fact TR4As, TR5s and TR250s had the gaiter attached to the tunnel cover board positioned under the carpet).
The carpet sets for both models share the same high quality of manufacture and materials used - the materials are modern flame retarding and damp resistant and are available in a range of several colours. All carpet sets listed fit both RH drive & LH drive vehicles.
