Product Description

Triumph TR5-250 Front Seat Cover Kits
Identification: the seat squabs had 'horseshoe' style enclosed vertical pleating similar to TR4A, the main feature difference being diamond embossings in the pleat material; the seat cushions had the pleats running to the front edge, instead of being enclosed by a horseshoe panel; tubular framed seats.

Notes on Ordering Seat Colours
TR5 & TR250: The seats to be found in the TR5 and TR250 were a cautious development of the TR4A design.  The immediately apparent difference was the pleating style on the seat cushion, followed closely by the observation that the cover material had diamond embossings on it.  Under the covers, the tubular frame design continued with several modifications.  The outstanding ones were new and more complex foams, the fitment of wire armatures to support the squab sides, and a safety catch mechanism to stop the seat tilting forward unintentionally.
Cover kit colours currently available are black, midnight blue, cherokee red and matador red.  Leather was always considered a special order option from the factory in place of the usual synthetic materials (embossed ambla in the case of the TR5 and TR250). Requests for seat covers in different colours to the usual four options can be entertained as special orders, but rely on reasonable availability of materials in those colours in the industry.  Original paint and trim combinations may be found on the 'Paint & Trim Colours' page.
