Water drainage from the plenum is very important if wet carpets
and feet are to be avoided. Regular clearing of the drain hoses with
a flexible rod will dislodge any congealing rain soaked leaves or
small furry fauna which might otherwise block the system. A
longer water drain hose can be fitted to take the water out of the
wing/sill/bulkhead box section. This will involve cutting a 1 1/2” hole
in each wing baffle plate for the longer hose to pass through.

These little tinkers have caused many heated discussions over the years. The long thin tag used on the inner front wings and wheel arches was part number 603559. Fact: It was ‘T’ shaped. Fact: The item was redesigned 13th January 1978 and was then no longer shaped.

Product Description

Triumph TR4-250 Plenum and Bulkhead
Items 71 to 73, 75 and 76 are all manufactured to their later conditions; this means that they contain, to a greater or lesser degree, details such as reinforcement ribs and piercings appropriate to TR5s and TR250s.  The basic form or silhouette is the same for TR4s and TR4As and as such these panels may be used either fully or in part to repair a TR4/TR4A bulkhead.  Bear in mind that if you intend to fit them as full panels to a TR4 or TR4A, the original under-bonnet appearance of your car is likely to be compromised unless skilled work is carried out to modify or eradicate the TR5/TR250 details.
