Triumph TR4A-250 Factory Option Front Anti Roll Bar
Fitting the optional anti-roll bar assembly, which became a standard fitment on TR6, is a very worthwhile conversion to carry out on TR4As, TR5s and TR250s not equipped with it already. These models of course share in every other respect exactly the same suspension as their later TR stablemate, making the conversion incredibly easy.
The only adaptation of the car that may be required is for the mounting U bolts. Some cars may still be fitted with the earlier style of radiator shield (to which the mountings attach), which is correct in shape but requires piercing to accept the U bolts. Alternatively, the early shield may be swapped for either of the later ready-pierced items (part no. 213021 - see 'Chassis' for details - or TKC1972, the very late TR6 variant).
However it's likely that on the majority of cars the piercings will already be present, due to radiator shields being swapped between models over the years.
