Product Description
MGF and MG TF Burglar Alarm
Important Note:
Replacement of the alarm control unit (ECU) or remote transmitter must be done with a new item featuring the same frequency as the original. As a general guide, 433Mhz frequency equipment is used on UK and European cars, 315Mhz for the rest of the world.
The frequency of the original ECU can be identified by a single large letter printed on the ECU casing, ‘L’, ‘H’, ‘R’ or ‘A’ indicate 433Mhz (new ECUs show ‘A’) ‘M’, ‘K’, ‘S’, ‘T’ or ‘B’ indicate 315Mhz (new ECUs show ‘B’). The frequency of the original remote transmitter can be identified by opening the casing and viewing the printed circuit board from the battery side. The markings on a small silver cap on the board will indicate the frequency, ‘1207’ indicates 433Mhz ‘1239’ indicates 315Mhz. Replacement ECUs and remote transmitters will require programming before use. We provide a programming service, to personal callers only, for synchronising new ECUs and remote transmitters with your car.
