A badly corroded rear armature will result in MoT failure, and the stock of good second hand parts is nearly exhausted, explaining the market price of c. £200 for useable examples.

The armature and clamping plates have been re-tooled by British Motor Heritage from the original drawings. The armature has been manufactured in the original heavy gauge steel and immersed in black electrophoretic paint to ensure that all the internal surfaces are fully corrosion protected. The clamping plates are finished in black gloss powder coat.

The kit has been carefully priced to maintain the MG tradition of affordable classic ownership and compliments British Motor Heritage’s recent re-introduction of the rear bumper cover, part number BMH537.
