Due to the popularity of this service, we have decided to make this a permanent feature of the Rimmer Bros service.
It is by far the most efficient method of ordering parts for collection and you can do so in complete safety. If you want to order parts and you need to collect them in person, please select this service. We now have two dedicated Click & Collect parking bays for you, right outside the showroom entrance, plus a bring to car service.
Following the relaxation of the Coronavirus Restrictions in England from the19th July 2021, we continue to support all of your parts needs with the following services.
Our online services remain unchanged and our expert sales staff are available to take your calls, emails and chats as usual.
Our ‘Click & Collect’
service will continue as a permanent addition to our overall service. We will email you when your order is ready to collect, usually within 60 minutes
. Payment can be made upon collection via chip and pin. Please park in the Click & Collect marked bays, there is a phone number to call if you prefer to wait in your vehicle.
For Pre-Paid orders
placed online or on the telephone, we need at least 2.5 hour’s notice
prior to collection. This is to allow the order to be processed in our system, picked by our team and prepared for you. Please do not arrive early!
If you are collecting an order and require further details, please call ahead (01522 568000).
We are able to accommodate limited numbers of walk-in customers
who have not pre-ordered into the shop. Please follow our onsite rules which include the request to use face coverings and hand gels and help to protect yourself and our staff by following any instructions given to you by our team. If you have a considerable list of parts required, please pre-order these online or on the phone using our 'Click & Collect'
service. This will help prevent long waiting times for all customers. Rimmer Bros continue to operate a reduced on site workforce, we appreciate your patience.
Despatch & Delivery
Due to the increased volumes experienced & the operational changes we have had to make to ensure we maintain the safety of our staff during the pandemic, we are currently despatching Standard UK
orders within 1-2 days and Standard Export
within 2-3 days.
Due to carrier capacity issues, not all Express
services are guaranteed, although most arrive within the usual timescales.
All International Airmail has been affected by the reduced amount of international flights. This has led to increased surcharges and delays. A significant amount of the world’s Airmail (small packets) is currently travelling by sea container. For most countries outside the EU we have removed Airmail as a shipping option to avoid delays & disappointment. There are also some in-country backlogs which contribute to these delivery delays.
Currently, Airmail for most countries outside the EU is not a cost effective option as the hefty surcharges being applied then equate to the same cost as a carrier service. We will therefore continue to only offer a carrier service to these destinations for the time being.
We are doing everything within our power to ship goods as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience and support!
Global commerce and supply chain logistics
The impact of Covid-19 and also the recent Suez blockage on global commerce and supply chain logistics cannot be understated. Movement of goods by container shipments are seriously delayed and costs are running out of control. Vessels are out of position and long delays at ports continue. We are doing all we can to mitigate and minimize these obstacles but the situation is worsening and will impact on prices and availability in an increasingly negative way for the foreseeable future. We would urge customers to buy what you expect to need and we have in stock now, and not put off or delay purchases, as availability and prices cannot be guaranteed.

The UK has officially left the EU. It’s business as usual here at Rimmer Bros and our ability to ship orders directly to you is not affected.
We have been exporting car parts to almost every country worldwide for nearly 40 years and we are continuing to do so.
The terms of trade between the UK and EU changed on January 1st, 2021.
We currently offer a door to door DAP (Delivered at Place) service.
- All prices shown on our website exclude UK VAT, which we no longer charge to EU customers.
- EU VAT (based on the country of destination) is not included in our prices and is payable prior to delivery, plus a brokerage fee* and duty** (if applicable).
- Our carrier will collect these charges - a link will be sent requesting payment prior to delivery.
- The shipping charge displayed does not include these charges.
- Our carrier will handle the customs formalities and deliver your order directly to you.
- EU businesses will need to provide us with an EORI number.
*A brokerage fee is calculated and charged by the carrier 'per consignment' upon customs entry.
** Duty is applicable to items that originate from outside of the UK/EU.
