Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? I purchased this for a 1973 Series 3, 109. The price was 1/3 what a local(USA) supplier listed, even with shipping. Shipping was nearly the same cost as the item, as it's an oversized thing. Still overall cheaper than the local price, which started around $1000 USD. Assembly was easy. Some of the holes needed drilling/filing out because of the heavy zinc galvanizing. I ran a file on the "feet" that sit in your rain gutter so as not to scratch the paint. But otherwise, it assembled quick. It took 3 people to put on, mostly because it's big and awkward. Leave bolts loose and tighten on the car. That makes it fit better. I first made the rack 100% square, then realized my car wasn't square! Clamps were simple. Had to grind a bit off one clamp so my door could clear it. Everything on my Series has been like this. So. I wasn't suprised. Expect some fitment adjustments. Nothing major. Very pleased with the product. It really makes the Series have that classic, vintage safari look. It looks plenty sturdy. But I wouldn't put more than 150 lbs on it while driving.
