Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for?
This item was to replace the same item on the rear tail lights of my MG ZT 190. The originals were either broken or missing, so the light cluster wasn't secure. Also, the originals had a very fine washer to stop water ingress which the replacement didn't have. This new part is slightly smaller and critically, much tighter where the pin on the light cluster engages. I had to drill out the bore of the new part, checking the fit off the car first so it wasn't too tight on the pin. The widened female plastic part was then offered up to the cutout on the car. I used a dab of hot melt glue to seal the base against water ingress in place of the absent washer. So it works, but not straight out of the box (as supplied to me)
