Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? I was using this to seal the joint between the gearbox tunnel and the car body on my TR4A. As it was just a straight rubber strip I had to adapt it to suit the varying profile of the joint and make the bolt holes. I do understand that it is a generic seal but it was too wide and I suspect, thicker than the original and not the same profile. It would be helpful if an adhesive was recommended since it needs to be stuck in place. Still, we only have these cars to give us something to do and talk about so I shouldn't really complain!
