Did this item work well with your project? What vehicle type are you using this for? Just getting my GT6 Mk3 back on the road after 40 years and the brake lights weren't working. The old switch seemed okay, but I ordered this replacement just in case. The fixing nut is thinner than the original which enabled me to find the best adjustment to activate the switch when the pedal is depressed. An easy swap, if only the mounting bracket on the brake pedal were easier to access!
